As a pro-level blocker, the Optik 3 is built with top end materials like Bri-Core composite and features meticulous design details like the weight reducing bevelled blocker board.

External Material

The pro-level OPTik 3 blocker is built to last with tried and true external materials. This blocker will stand up to a full season of high velocity shots on a regular basis and much longer when facing rec level shots a couple times a week. The OPTik3 blocker is made with a traditional JenPro external material, which can be found on nearly all Brians goalie equipment. Overall external construction also includes durable nylon bindings on wrist and cuff components to prevent wear and tear on seams. Traditional braided nylon lacing is used to secure various cuff and sidewall components that require a bit of wiggle room for maximum mobility.

Internal Construction

A pro-level blocker needs lasting rigidity and the OPTik 3 blocker provides that with the Bri-Core composite blocker board. The carbon-fiber reinforced board ensures that you can take advantage of the flared design all season for greater control of rebounds with reliable consistency. Older blockers can become a bit floppy or spongy once their plastic blocker board breaks down. You dont need to worry about that with the OPTik3.

Palm Material

The core palm material is breathable grey Clarino known for having a soft touch. The thin, flexible and durable Clarino fabric provides a responsible feel in your fingertips. For additional grip and padding, the soft textured grip palm layer also has ventilation to keep your hand cool while locking in the stick paddle and reducing vibrations. Last but not least the vented air mesh gussets keep air moving through the blocker so youre dry and cool when the barn burner goes to double overtime.

Side Hand Protection

Two key components in the OPTik3 blocker that improve side hand protection are the removable pillows and the squared thumb. The protective pillows are located in the thumb and sidewall and can be adjusted or removed as needed. The squared thumb is less restrictive with the stick and allows the paddle to nestle nicely into the opening.

Cuff

The low and wide cuff opening is a key design that increases wrist mobility. The signature Smart custom fit strapping and dial system will secure the wrist joint, but above that joint you want almost zero restriction to move your blocker into position for the save. This wrist mobility also allows for improved puck handling and stick positioning to clear the zone or take that end to end shot toward the wide open net to seal the game and put your name in the record books.

Hand Protection

Hopefully pucks and sticks are only rebounding off the Bri-Core blocker board but if you do end up in a chaotic scrum in front your fingers, thumb, wrist are protected by strategically placed shields. The OPTik3 protective shields use lightweight but rigid plastics and impact absorbing foams to keep your digits protected from errant pucks and unnecessary slashes.
