Intro & New Features

CCMs next shift in focus for 2025 is the new Jetspeed FT8 protective line. The Jetspeed FT8 gear puts emphasis on breathability and mobility, which means much of the new tech found in the gear will be light, discreet, and designed to keep you cool. The FT8 shin guards feature an Aer-Tec Suspension and Thermoregulation System, a floating compress molded EVA foam calf guard, and an anticollapse X-Frame.

Construction

The FT8 shin guards feature an Aer-Tec thermoregulation system. The thermoregulation system with multiple ventilation ports in the shin cap and shin liner allows for maximum breathability. Additionally, the FloFoam knee donut offers pro-level protection to players to keep them protected from impacts.

Shin Protection

The FT8 shin cap uses anatomical geometry to contour around your shin for a closer fit and optimized protection. The anticollapse X-frame is made of PE plastic and includes multiple ventilation ports for more breathability.

Knee Cap & Protection

The kneecaps are built with an anatomical JDP kneecap construction, which is a design meant to disperse force away from the point of impact, helping protect you from injury. The adjustable FloFoam knee comfort pad on the inside is built with a donut design to complement the kneecap, and it is also removable.

Calf Protection

The floating calf guard is made of compress-molded EVA foam, keeping the pads lightweight with the elite-level shot block protection you expect from high-end gear from CCM. The guards also have extra abrasion resistance at the bottom.

Liner

CCM continues to use their Aer-Tec suspension system, to provide players with max ventilation for evaporation to help keep the shins dry and cool with abrasion resistant 400D nylon bottom reinforcement. The mesh liner on the inside of the shins is treated with Polygiene and Odorcrunch materials, this design wicks away moisture in order to keep the shin pads lightweight while also keeping them dry.

Strapping

The FT8 uses an upper lock strap with a comfort cushion, as well as a length-adjustable calf strap to keep the pads locked in place on your leg.

Sizes

The CCM Jetspeed FT8 Senior Hockey Shin Guards are available in sizes 14, 15, and 16.
