Intro & New Features

CCM has produced new protective gear at the recreational level in 2023. The new CCM “Next” line is designed to be a reliable, durable and protective line of hockey gear at the recreational level. The Next line is built to be lightweight and keep players cool and dry on the ice, while still providing players with protection from impacts. The shin guards feature an anatomical narrow fit design, durable plastic inserts for protection, and JDP knee caps.

Construction

The CCM Next shin guard are built with an anatomically narrow fit. Recreational players of all ages can benefit from its lightweight, mobility-friendly design and connected fit, which don’t feel bulky. The shins also protected with plastic caps which provides players with a durable and reliable level of protection.

Knee Cap & Protection

The kneecaps are built with an optimized anatomical geometry and JDP knee cap, which is designed to disperse impact force away, helping to prevent any sort of injury. The sturdy kneecaps flex point offers more freedom of movement and the JDP construction keeps force away from the knee joint.

Calf Protection

The floating calf guard is made of PE foam, keeping the pad lightweight and still providing a high-level of protection. The plastic insert is made to provide an additional level of protection from impacts, helping prevent any injuries that may occur. The design is built to shape and wrap around the calf, offering a snug and comfortable fit.

Liner

The liner is built from PE foam and features a removable sublimated liner. The custom fit is super easy to maintain and provides a good level of protection and comfort.

Strapping

The CCM Next shin guards use a nylon upper lock strap to secure the upper portion of the shin. When adjusted correctly, the pad shouldn’t move much down the leg, keeping the shin protected. To connect the lower part of shin and the calf, these guards use a wide elastic calf strap. This strap is designed to wrap around the leg and provide protection from impacts. Both straps are easily adjustable and provide players with an additional level of comfort.

The CCM Next Senior Hockey Shin Guards are available in 14″, 15″, 16″, and 17″.
