Intro & New Features
The CCM Ribcor Platinum Hockey Stick is a Source for Sports exclusive stick that offers many of CCM’s most elite technologies at a more affordable price point. This stick uses the Ribcor Team base model and includes an Ergonomic “E” shaft geometry, a Trigger Microfeel 2 grip, and a C6 + Peel-Ply in the blade.
Stick Profile
The stick features a low kick point, which is designed to improve your performance. As a result, the stick flexes downward and toward the blade. The stick’s capacity to swiftly store and release energy during a shot is improved by this design. The energy contained in the lower shaft of the stick is quickly released at the low kick point when a player loads it by flexing it. Fast-paced action, close-range shots, and quick snapshots are all made possible by the quick and powerful shot release that this produces.
Shaft Construction
Due to the ergonomic “E” geometry, the shaft’s shape changes as it moves down the stick; at the top, it takes on a more traditional shape, but near the bottom, it becomes more asymmetrical. This method not only improves the stick’s loading but also gives you more control over the stick.
Blade Construction
In order to maintain control while allowing low kick point sticks to be slightly more whipped near the bottom, the blade needs to be slightly stiffer than other sticks. To accomplish this, the 94K employs a C6 weave with Peel-Ply in the blade. To further improve durability, a blend of carbon and fiberglass is used. For even greater durability, the Pee-Ply securely encircles the blade.
Grip
The Ribcor Platinum uses a Trigger Microfeel 2 grip, which is tactile, curved, and raised strategically for an even better stick feel while you play.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The Ribcor Platinum Senior Hockey Stick is available in the following blade patterns: P29 and P28.
P28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.
P29 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a bit on the backhand. Due to its balanced design, this pattern can be described as the perfect beginner blade.
