After playing with the boys while growing-up in Montreal, Quebec, Caroline Ouellette became a womens hockey sensation by leading the University of Minnesota Duluth to the 2003 NCAA National Championship. She went on to help lead Canada to four Olympic gold medals and six IIHF World Championship titles during her career, while finishing third all-time in scoring among Canadian National Team players with 242 points. Having led her hometown of Montreal to a Clarkson Cup championship four times, Ouellette was twice named the CWHLs Most Valuable Player and retired as the CWHLs all-time leading scorer with 315 points.
